What These Cutoffs Mean for You
These numbers reflect the minimum marks required for seat allotment in Iteration 3. If your score is:
- Above the cutoff: You’re likely to get the same or a better branch in Iteration 4 or beyond.
- Just below the cutoff: You’re on the waitlist, and your chance depends on how many students slide up or drop out.
- Way below the cutoff: It’s less likely that you’ll get that branch, but you can stay in further iterations to give it a try.
Remember: Cutoffs drop slightly with each iteration, so don't give up yet.
Key Reminders After Iteration 3 Result
- Floating is automatic. You don’t need to do anything. If a better branch (from your preference list) opens up, you’ll be upgraded in the next round.
- Withdrawals affect cutoffs. Some students are dropping out to join IITs, NITs, or other options. This can shift cutoffs in Iteration 4 or 5.
- Dual degrees are a smart choice. Many students pick MSc + BE dual degree combos in which BE is allotted based on the CGPA of 1st year.

Important Notes
- Waitlist ranks are excluded since most students don’t fill lower-branch options, so those numbers aren’t reliable at this time.
